I DID IT!!!!

I did it, I did it, I did it!!!!! Here's the whole story......

In 2007, Jeremy and I were planning on celbrating our 1 year anniversary be being sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. I was so excited for this day and wanted to feel good about myself and my body. I started working out and eating right. I lost about 17 pounds and wanted to lose about 30 pounds total.

As the date neared I was not working out and had a long way to go so I decided to do a "no carb" diet......(not very healthy, I know). Needless to say, I lost the 13 other pounds I wanted to and ended up being a size 4 the day we were sealed.

After that, having reached my goal. I stopped caring and within 6 months, had pretty much gained all the weight I lost back. I know this was partially a product of not losing the weight in a healthy way to start with.

In January of 2010, I decided it was time to get back into shape. I started running and along the way met a wonderful friend who would be more influential in my life than I ever would have imagined! She knows who she is....... After only a few weeks, I found out I was pregnant with Carter. I stopped working out and enjoyed my pregnancy. I gained more than I should have (40 pounds) and when I had Carter in October of 2010 I knew this was my chance to get things back to where I wanted to be.

I was back to my pre-preganacy weight after about 5 months....but still needed to lose about 30 more pounds to be back to the weight/size I was on our 1st anniversary. This became my goal weight.

I started by doing P90X and saw great results after the 3 months. With the help of my amazing friend, we started working out on a regular basis and I started seeing results. By Carter's first birthday, I was 3.5 pounds away from my goal......then the H0lidays hit.

In January 2012, I was back up 12 pounds from my lowest post baby weight. I was determined to meet and exceed my goal. My friend and I were talking shortly after the New Year, and found we had both downloaded the app MyFitnessPal.....we both recommitted to getting back into shape together. We started working out 3-4 times a week and eating right and today I got my payoff!!

I DID IT! I hit my goal weight this morning and am now officially down 70 pounds from the day I had Carter! (40 pounds of baby weight, plus 30) I went from a size 12 when I got pregnant to a size 4 now!! I'm now pretty much the weight/size I was in high school! I am finally able to feel good about my body and have confidence in the way I look.

I understand that lifestyle changes are essential and know that since the weight was lost the right way this time, it will be a lifestyle change and that I will continue to see results as I start to maintain my new weight.

I could not have found success on this journey without my dear friend, or without Jeremy supporting me along the way! Thank you! It is fun to see them both find success in their fitness/weight loss goals!

I'm so excited to start this new chapter as a fit, healthy and confident me. Here we go!

  1. Tiff I can not tell you enough just how proud i am of you!!! You have worked so hard and had many ups and downs this journey. You have truely been a motivator, an encourager, a work out pal, a cheerleader, but most of all an example of how to do it right and put the sweat equity in to it!!! I hope I can make it just like you have today!!! You look amazing!!! congRATS!!!!

  2. That's great Tiff! Congrats! It's definitely not an easy thing and I hope I'll be able to be committed to achieve that after I deliver our little one. :D You are my inspiration!
